How to Control:
- Dig out & dispose.
- Cut down close to ground; spray regrowth before it reaches 60cm with (200ml Amitrole + 20ml penetrant/10L water). Continue respraying regrowth at under 60 cm until regrowth ceases (usually requires 4-6 treatments). Minimise Amitrole contact with soil & other vegetation as it is non-selective, residual, and corrosive.
- Cut stray emergent shoots at ground level, inject 10ml undiluted Amitrole into each stem. Extra care must be taken when working with undiluted herbicide. Minimise Amitrole contact with soil & other vegetation as it is non-selective, residual, and corrosive.
- Amongst desirable plants spray (300ml haloxyfop + 100ml crop oil/ 10L water).
Digging trench around bamboo can contain spread.Control with weedmat ineffective. Don’t replant until 6 months after last herbicide application. Do not burn the stems as they may explode if heated.
Caution: when using any herbicide or pesticide PLEASE READ THE LABEL THOROUGHLY to ensure that all instructions and safety requirements are followed.
