Special disposal notes: Cut stems can layer – Hang up off the ground or leave up in vegetation to dry out.
How to control:
- Hand pull & dig out roots. Cut off above ground or tie stems in air to prevent them coming into contact with the ground and taking root. .
- Cut stump application: Cut at ground level, stump paint (200ml glyphosate/1L water) or (1g metsulfuron/1L water) or (100ml Tordon brushkiller®/1L water) or (100ml triclopyr/1L water) or (200ml Banvine®/1L water). Leave cut material hanging up to prevent them coming into contact with the ground and taking root.
- Spray large masses on ground where roots cannot be pulled, spring-autumn only (120ml Banvine®/10L water) or (60ml triclopyr +10ml penetrant/10L water).
Use herbicide only when roots cannot be pulled. Remove all fruits to prevent seeding. Regular follow up required.
